Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required structural heart scrub experience, including TAVR, Mitral Clip, and Watchman procedures.
Details
- Cath Lab unit with 3 procedure rooms
- Performs complex PCI and other advanced cardiac catheterization procedures
- Uses Epic and MAC Lab systems
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call requirement with callback and weekend call, approximately 9-11 days in a 6-week schedule including 1-2 weekends
- Rare floating to EP or to the in-lab patient holding area
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Structural heart scrub experience required, including TAVR, Mitral Clip, Watchman, peripheral, Impella, IABP, and CTO procedures
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- RCIS or ARRT certification required (license required if applicable)
- Experience with balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, and Rotablator
- Skilled in scrubbing, monitoring, PA line insertion, and telemetry
- Preferred skills include circulating, IV starts, conscious sedation, and rhythm interpretation
- Preferred experience with Watchman procedures, septal closure, ablations, coil embolization, and filter placement
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
- Procedures performed include ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, right/left heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, Watchman, cardiac ablation, IVC filter placement, TEVAR, and thrombectomy
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 50 miles of the facility
- Former Novant or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before reapplying, with facility approval required
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved if not on a holiday; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Travel pairs allowed if on different units with separate transportation
- Pre-start learning modules required, approximately 8-10 hours for acute care roles, completed before start and annually
