Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a Michigan RN license and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Float to all areas of LDRP and to the house as a sitter when needed
- Float to Bronson Methodist (27 miles away) when need exists and census allows
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Uses Epic for documentation
- Will train on newborn infant hearing screens using the ALGO 5 Machine
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and either AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
- Required skills: circulating and FHM triage
- Scrub skill preferred
- Supervisor-level reference required
- Proof of flu vaccination required, or exemption submitted within 48 hours of signing
Additional Information
- Provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care
- Perform newborn lab draws and hearing screens
- Travelers are first to float
- Scrubs provided
- No RTO during the first 8 days of the contract
- RTO limited to no more than 10 days total
- Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- Previous Bronson travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
- Contracts of up to 26 weeks offered, with longer contracts possibly considered
