Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring compact or LA RN license and telemetry/medsurg experience.

Details

Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
Day ratios of 1:5 and night ratios of 1:6
Float required
Call required
Weekend coverage required every other weekend
Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

Active RN license (Compact or Louisiana) required in hand
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of telemetry or medsurg experience required
Experience with cardiac drips and EKG required
Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

May be assigned to an emergency response team during facility emergency events, with expectation to remain onsite or serve on a relief team
Holiday availability required for 2 of 4 designated holiday periods: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
Two manager or supervisor references required prior to start (charge RNs not accepted)
Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
Former permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as travelers
All requested time off must be disclosed on the profile and discussed during interview
