Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring MD or compact RN license and 2+ years of MS/Tele experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Cardiac monitoring and genitourinary/renal patient care
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Every other weekend required
- Float required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
- Skills required in cardiac monitoring, genitourinary/renal care, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Flu vaccine required
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and IV therapy
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
