Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a day-shift acute care position requiring experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management.
Details
- Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to Med Surg units and to an additional Providence facility location
- Uses Meditech charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
- Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management required
- Active license required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry nursing care including management of ventilated and tracheostomy patients
- Facility may call off shifts up to once per two-week pay period
- Scrubs of any color are accepted
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate accommodations
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO accommodations available at this time

Providence LCM is a small community hospital with a great team and team work. I enjoyed working every single day with my pod buddies, ER physicians and charge nurse. Everyone is so helpful, you will find a resource nurse and break nurse who is constantly helping out nurses with critical patients. They always keep in consideration about the patient nurse ratio.
Cons
You will do self scheduling but it’s not guaranteed that you will get all the days, manager tries her best to keep in consideration of your days that you need.
