Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN with active IL licensure and at least 2 years of ER experience for a day shift position.
Details
- Emergency Room setting within a hospital and trauma center
- Day Shift schedule (7:00A - 7:30P) with weekend and holiday rotation
- May be required to float to other Mercyhealth hospital locations in IL
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
Additional Information
- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
- Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
- Participates in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units in support of patients' longitudinal plan of care
- Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through appropriate chain of command
- Participates in professional nursing continuum activities, unit practice decisions, and peer review processes
- Holiday coverage required as part of rotation
