Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an SSSU/PACU position requiring at least 2 years of perioperative experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work across the Outpatient Services department, floating among Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, PACU, and the Pre-operative Clinic
• Provide perioperative nursing care for pre-op, post-op, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy, and Infusion patients
• Support conscious sedation needs for special procedures throughout the hospital
• Schedule consists of 4 10-hour day shifts with a variable schedule
• Participates in a shared on-call rotation for PACU coverage

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of SSSU/PACU/Pre/Post experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong skills in perioperative education, patient assessment, and recognition of post-anesthesia or post-operative complications

Additional Information

• Responsible for recognizing and responding to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications
• Delivers perioperative education and care across multiple outpatient service areas
• Floating required to all areas within Outpatient Services as needed
