Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an active AK RN license and 3 years of Med/Surg experience.
Details
- Acute care setting on a 31-bed Med/Surg unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 12-hour shifts following unit protocols
- Patient ratios per national standard
- Uses Epic EMR along with Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
Requirements
- Active AK state RN license required
- 3 years of Med-Surg experience with strong critical thinking skills
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS, PEARS, and HS AED
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing
- Complete unit-specific orientation including Meditech and OBIX training (3 days)
- Medication testing must be completed within the first two weeks on site
- Scrubs provided per facility dress code
- COVID vaccination or declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Returning travelers with prior employment at this facility must disclose it for review
