Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a ND or compact RN license and at least 1 year of procedural experience.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma center GI/Endoscopy unit
- Rotating 4-day, 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday
- Weekend call required once every 2 months and weekday call once every 1-2 weeks
- Weekend call only, with potential to work one holiday per year depending on staffing needs
- May float into the pre and post area at the endo expansion, staffed entirely by endo personnel
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Uses Provation and Olympus equipment
Requirements
- Active ND or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procedures required, advanced endoscopy procedure experience (ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopies, EBUS) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN not required
Additional Information
- Perform RN scrub duties including assisting with procedures at bedside, bedside cleaning, and specimen retrieval
- Perform RN circulator duties including charting, documentation, specimen coordination, and care coordination
- Perform scope reprocessing duties including cleaning scopes, using an AER, borescope, ATP testing, and leak testing
- Responsible for patient transport
- Hospital-provided scrubs required
- Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Does not accept local candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility
- Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
