Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center in Sioux City, IA, requiring 2+ years of med-surg experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the 3A Medical unit of a hospital setting
- Gen Med patient population
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5 days and 1:5-6 nights
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Heparin drip experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required
- Skills checklist specific to discipline required
Additional Information
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
- Limited to 1 day off request during designated holiday blocks
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or float pool PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
