Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Ortho position requiring an active RN license (ND or Compact) and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care Orthopedic/Joint Replacement unit within a Level 2 Trauma hospital
- 22-bed unit with 4:1 or 5:1 nurse to patient ratios
- Cares for orthopedic, trauma, and general medical surgical patients
- Advanced Certified Total Joint Replacement Center with specific quality metrics and standards
- Uses EPIC charting system
- 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- No on-call requirements
- Never works alone
- Floating to other med-surg units as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (ND or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2+ years preferred
- Medical surgical or orthopedic experience is a plus
Additional Information
- Administer medications, assess and monitor patients, prep for surgical procedures, and administer blood products
- Provide patient education and collaborate with CNAs to deliver comprehensive care
- Team-based unit culture with strong peer support
- Unit orientation of 6-12 hours provided
- Navy blue scrubs required, with optional navy jacket
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
