Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, covering all aspects of LDRP including nursery and postpartum care
- Patient population includes antepartum, high-risk antepartum, labor & delivery, and mother/baby care
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Rotating weekend shifts required
- Meditech charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (AR or compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Experience maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and infusion pump use
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
- Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and scrub roles, and newborn care
- Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Perform fetal monitoring including EFM and IUPC placement/calibration
- Support lactation and breastfeeding education for new mothers
- Provide newborn assessments, discharge teaching, and car seat education
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
