Description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist for a day-shift assignment, open to candidates with no prior home health experience.
Details
- Home health setting with occasional work across acute care, LTAC, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and SNF settings
- 6 patient visits per day
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
- Occasional weekends as needed
- No call or float requirements
- Uses Epic for documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- NH license required if applicable, will accept candidates with license pending if obtainable by start date
- BLS and Heart Saver CPR equivalent certification required; only AHA or American Red Cross certifications accepted
- Manual therapy skills preferred
- Experience with OASIS documentation preferred
- Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and neurologic patient populations
- Familiarity with adaptive and assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, and specialty beds preferred
- Skilled in home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for home health patients
- 10-hour unit orientation provided
- Any scrub color accepted
- Open to first-time travelers
- Former employees of any facility associated with the health system are not eligible for this assignment
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at the local rate
