Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 5+ years of experience and Epic charting experience for a day shift hospital position caring for patients across the lifespan.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department caring for patients from neonates through geriatrics
• Performs intubations across all patient populations and arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures
• Work settings include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:15
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; CRTs will not be accepted
• Tennessee RT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Epic charting experience within the last 18 months required
• Must be clean-shaven if fit testing is required
• Two supervisory references required
• Interview required prior to offer

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care including ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, and airway management
• Perform intubation assistance, extubation, and tracheostomy care/management
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, umbilical blood gases, and NICU procedures preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Travelers are expected to float unless otherwise stated
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission; additional time off will not be approved afterward
