Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring 3+ years of experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for patients ranging from therapy level to PCU level of care
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, flexed to 1:6
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call responsibilities
• No holiday coverage required
• EPIC and Pyxis experience preferred but training provided
• HARP/CPI experience preferred but training provided

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and develop individualized care plans
• Assess patient conditions, administer treatments and medications, and monitor outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care
• Deliver patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning
• Recognize and respond to patient complications and changes in condition
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Report directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership
• Must reside outside a 60 mile radius of the facility
