Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ED Observation/Telemetry unit requiring 2+ years of experience and WA or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute care ED Observation unit with 8-16 trauma bays/beds
- Patient population consists of Med/Surg Telemetry boarding patients awaiting inpatient room placement
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- RNs monitor their own telemetry strips
- Night shift schedule from 7p-730a
- Every other weekend requirement
- Standby call requirement
- Primary assignment to one facility with floating required throughout the region's hospital network when needed
- First to float among staff
- EPIC EMR used
Requirements
- Active WA state or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Manage ED observation patients, including lab draws and oxygen/SVN respiratory treatments
- In-house security, transporters, and charge nurse/house supervisor support available
- Navy blue scrub color dress code
- One day unit/department specific orientation
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
- PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable
