Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Trauma ICU (TICU) position requiring critical care training and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Trauma ICU (STICU) setting with 10 beds and 28 staff members
- Day shift staffed with 1 CNC and 5 nurses; night shift staffed with 1 CNC and 5 nurses
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses CRRT, ventilators, MTP, Hemosphere monitors, arterial lines, and TTM equipment
- Meditech Expanse EMR used
- 7A-7P shift schedule over a 13-week assignment
- Floating required to MICU, TICU, and ICC
- Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
- Critical care training required
- Experience with pressor medication management, arterial line management, and critical drip management required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform critical care nursing duties including management of bronchoscopy procedures and CVC/art line insertions
- Flexible personality fit preferred for unit culture
- Royal blue scrubs required per dress code
- Must adhere to unit attendance policy and scheduling commitments
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
