Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Preop position requiring prior PACU experience and availability for on-call coverage.
Details
- 47-bed acute care hospital setting on the 3rd floor
- Shared PACU/Preop position with no expectation to float elsewhere
- 3-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Primarily adult patient population with occasional ENT cases monthly
- Common diagnoses/treatments include appendectomy and gallbladder cases
- Day shift schedule (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) with some call on nights and weekends
- Call requirement: must arrive within 30 minutes of case notification
- Uses CQI and Medhost EHR systems
- Every other weekend requirement
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) for New Mexico
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior PACU experience required
- Preop and PACU experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a PACU/Preop setting
- Supervised by the unit's clinical leadership
- Open-toed shoes and fake fingernails are not permitted
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
