Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 3+ years of experience and both pre-op and post-anesthesia care skills.
Details
- Work in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Surgical patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Varied day shifts including 6a-6p, 8a-8p, and 9a-9p schedules
- Minimal weekend hours required
- No call requirements
- Float required to a different PACU with the same patient population, within a 25-mile radius between facilities
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required
- 3+ years of PACU experience required
- Experience in both pre-op and PACU settings required
- AHA certifications accepted if non-AHA equivalents are submitted, with AHA completion required before start
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients in pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases
- No specific scrub color required
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this during consideration
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract
