Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 500+ hours of PCI certification experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital with an Open Heart Surgery program
• Serves a pediatric to geriatric patient population
• 10-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Shift hours run 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No floating or charge responsibilities required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab RN required
• Completion of 500+ hours PCI certified work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital with an Open Heart Surgery program required
• ICU experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications as directed by physician, and maintain patient records
• Assist with advanced interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and PICC line insertion
• Participate in lifesaving interventions including CPR and defibrillation
• Monitor patients under conscious sedation per physician instructions
• Supervised directly by the Cath Lab manager
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered for this position
