Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Details

Med/Surg unit with 14 beds
Staffing includes 3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift with a free float CNC
Patient ratio of 1:5
Uses Alaris infusion pumps
Charting in Meditech EMR
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Rotating weekend requirement
Unit performs bronchoscopies and EGD/colonoscopy procedures

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
BLS certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
ACLS and rhythm interpretation skills preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
One professional reference required

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit performing bronchoscopy and GI procedures
Navy scrub color required
Best suited for flexible, team-oriented candidates
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
Permanent positions also available on this unit
