Description
American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a critical access hospital offering broad clinical exposure across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.
Details
- Rural critical access hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and minimal in-home therapy
- Majority of patients present with orthopedic or general geriatric conditions, with occasional TBI/CVA/PD cases
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend
- Epic EMR used for charting
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy required
- BLS certification required
- MT OT license required if applicable, can be obtained after offer
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience in orthopedic care including hip fracture, total hip replacement, knee injuries, and total knee replacement
- Skills in home exercise programs, lifting and transfer techniques, and patient/family education
Additional Information
- Provide therapy services across acute care, adult outpatient, and adult rehabilitation settings
- Perform assessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and reassessments as part of care plan
- Facility is a critical access hospital with 15 staffed beds serving Sanders County residents
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted
- RTO limited to a maximum of 6 days
- Free traveler parking available on-site
- Located in rural Western Montana near Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and multiple ski resorts offering quiet small-town living
