Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and the ability to float between multiple units.
Details
- Resource Float position within a regional referral medical center
- Floats between Thompson, Farnum, and Kingsbury Med/Surg units, potentially during the same shift
- Adult-geriatric patient population
- Must be able to work stepdown unit when needed
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling not accepted for this assignment
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required in-hand prior to consideration
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips and other stepdown practices required
- ICU RNs will also be considered
- Must have personal vehicle for this assignment
- Permanent address required as part of candidate profile
Additional Information
- Coordinates total nursing care for patients and participates in patient and family teaching
- Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing and care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards
- Provides leadership within the clinical care setting
- Traveler-provided professional scrubs required with no logos
- Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the weekend after Christmas, and New Year's Eve through the weekend after New Year's Day
- Requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload, with no more than 5 days of RTO accepted
- RTO requests will not be approved after upload
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Candidates requesting schedule accommodations, such as block scheduling, will not be considered
- Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent or travel placement will not be considered
