Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry/Observation position requiring active Epic proficiency and minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience.

Details

• Primarily assigned to the 1S Observation unit with required floating to other Med-Surg units such as Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac
• May float to the ED if appropriately skilled and knowledgeable
• Night shift schedule (7p-7:30a) for 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities are rare

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience required
• Must be able to read telemetry/BCRA and will be tested on this competency on day one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current, hands-on Epic EMR proficiency required; refresher classes or 1:1 training are not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care on an Observation/Telemetry unit with floating to additional Med-Surg specialty units as needed
• Candidates will be tested on telemetry reading competency and Epic proficiency; failure may result in immediate termination
• Returning Genesis travelers within the last 9 months may have start date flexibility; all other candidates must start on the designated date
• All requested time off must be disclosed and approved prior to confirmation
