Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring NIH Stroke Scale certification and current neuro ICU experience.

Details

• Work in an 18-bed Neuro CCU/ICU unit
• Staffing includes a charge RN, 9 RNs, and a PCT per shift for census over 14
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Uses cardiac monitoring, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, EVDs/LDs/Bolts, continuous EEG, lumbar drains, Arctic Sun, and Licox equipment
• Unit performs intubations, central line placements, EVD/LD placements, and Licox catheter placements
• Meditech EMR used
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of current ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• No local candidates will be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the experience requirements
