Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 26-bed surgical telemetry unit requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• 26-bed surgical telemetry unit caring for patients needing or recovering from surgery
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for surgical and telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes, including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction and fall prevention
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
