Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years experience and both echo and vascular registries required.

Details

• Work across adult acute care, adult outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings
• Perform adult echo, 3-D echo, bubble studies, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echo, portable studies, RVIT, RVOT, TEE, and treadmill stress echo
• Uses GE and Toshiba equipment with PACS system
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Varied weekend call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the service line required
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Both echo and vascular registries required with experience in both
• CCI RCS, CCI RVS, RDCS-RVT, and RDCS certifications preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG preferred
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings
• Altera charting experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival
• Previous perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel experience preferred but not required, so first-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted for this role
• Candidates must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a plan in place
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 6-8 hours
