Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC certification and LTC/Rehab experience for a long-term care facility in Worcester, MA.

Details

  • Long-term care (LTC) facility setting in Worcester, MA
  • Speech-Language Pathology unit treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Typical treatment times of around 30 minutes per patient, with 10-14 patients on schedule depending on evaluation load
  • 8-hour day shifts
  • May float to Worcester as needed
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active MA state SLP license required if applicable
  • CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
  • New grads considered if they completed Level II clinical fieldwork experience
  • LTC or Rehab setting experience required
  • One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
  • Develop and adjust individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide interventions
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals as needed
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members on patient progress
  • Complete comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
  • Document treatment and progress in the electronic documentation system
  • Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical standards
  • Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization reviews
  • Participate in facility and company training sessions and in-services
  • Obtain necessary DME or supplies per clinical practice requirements
  • Supervise and support CFY or student SLPs as needed
  • Adhere to ASHA and state practice standards, codes of conduct, and ethics
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
