Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology Lab supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs
- Settings include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Hybrid OR, and Special Procedures areas
- Uses GE Innova IGS and Siemens imaging equipment along with PACS system
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Every 3rd weekend required
- On-call as needed
Requirements
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Fluoro Permit required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- CA state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with vascular access, angiography, embolization, and stent placement procedures
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as PCI, PTCA, and diagnostic catheterizations
- Skilled in sterile technique and infection control practices
- Charting system experience required
Additional Information
- Provide technical support and patient care during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Perform duties such as room circulator and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- May mentor and train students
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols
- Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
- First-time travelers not specified for consideration
