Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown Float position requiring 2+ years of PCU/SDU experience and the ability to float to medical/surgical floors as needed.
Details
- Stepdown Float Pool role with potential floating to medical/surgical units
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am)
- Every second weekend rotation required
- Patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:5
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- PCU and SDU experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Care for patients with cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and renal conditions requiring step-down level monitoring
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
- Perform telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response activation as needed
- First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
