Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a float pool position requiring 2 years of experience and travel RN experience, working 3x12 day shifts.
Details
- Med/Surg float pool position within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- 3x12 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or compact) required, pending state license not accepted
- ASN required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Previous travel RN experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
- Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy management
- Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management
- Experience with wound care, wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Care for a diverse patient population including med/surg, telemetry, orthopedic, and post-cardiac procedure cases
- First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced local rate within a 50-mile radius
