Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience to provide rehabilitative care across patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
Details
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm
- Rehabilitation therapy department providing physical therapy services
- Treats patients across the lifespan, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations
Requirements
- CA license required if applicable
- Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience preferred
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques as related to rehabilitative equipment and practice
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, treatment, and reassessment per policy, including evaluating treatment effectiveness and recommending changes to physicians as needed
- Coordinates and directs patient care, collaborating with physicians, nursing, and other healthcare providers
- Provides patient and family education as part of the plan of care
- Trains hospital staff and departmental personnel through on-the-job training
- Maintains equipment safely, ensures department cleanliness, and complies with safety inspections
- Adheres to dress code and wears identification badge while on duty
- Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all regulatory and organizational policies
