Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro unit on night shift, requiring 1 year of recent experience and an active SD or compact RN license.
Details
- Acute care setting in a Level 1 Trauma facility on the Ortho/Neuro Med-Surg unit
- Typical patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
- Straight night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- Floating required to any Med-Surg or Telemetry unit within scope of practice
- EPIC EMR used
Requirements
- Active SD or compact state RN license required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- 1 year of recent RN experience required
- BSN not required for this position
Additional Information
- Provide individualized nursing care utilizing the full nursing process from assessment through evaluation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs
- Educate and provide feedback to patients and families regarding health status and care plans
- Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Badge in and out required at facility
- Local candidates welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
