Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a Level 4 trauma, critical access facility requiring strong ER experience and pediatric skills.
Details
- Emergency Department setting within a critical access, Level 4 trauma facility with 19 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730), working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every weekend
- Patient ratios of 1:3 on days and nights, 1:4 on weekends, averaging 25 visits per day across 11 rooms/beds
- Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, with strong ER experience preferred (2 years preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
- Pediatric experience required
- IV start and triage skills required
- Conscious sedation and telemetry experience preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency department nursing care across a varied patient population including pediatrics
- Navy scrub color required
- Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months prior to starting
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
- Parking is free in any unrestricted space
