Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification to support a Level I trauma hospital's inpatient and outpatient imaging services.
Details
- Perform MRI scans for inpatient and outpatient populations in a Level I trauma hospital
- Scans include Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy), Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal), Breast (including Breast biopsy), and Spine
- 3x12 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Weekend call required Friday through Sunday approximately every 4-6 weeks
- Must be available to work 4 of the 8 major holidays (Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, 12/26, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
- Experience with CINE, diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, spin echo, and T1/T2 weighted imaging
- Experience with surface coils required
- Proficient in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Experience starting peripheral IVs required
- Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Candidates must be able to shave for proper mask seal during OSHA Fit Testing; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
- Candidates may not use personal CAPRs or PAPRs; facility does not provide these devices
- Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
- Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted for this position
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
