Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 1+ years of experience and required ARRT MR certification for a Level I trauma teaching hospital setting.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient MRI imaging across adult acute care, adult ICU, and ER/trauma settings
- Scan types include brain (perfusion, functional, spectroscopy), body (enterography, defecography), musculoskeletal, breast (including breast biopsy), and spine
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday overnights
- Monday-Thursday call requirement
- Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT MR certification required
- BLS certification required
- Fluoroscopy permit may be required if applicable
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging, female and male pelvis imaging required
- Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs
- Proficiency in CINE, diffusion imaging, gradient echo, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, peripheral MRA, spectroscopy, spin echo, and surface coil techniques required
Additional Information
- Must be available to work 4 of 8 major holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day); if contract ends prior to Christmas, must work 2 of the first 4 listed holidays
- Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position
- Candidates must complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance and fit testing prior to start, which requires shaving for proper mask seal; no medical or religious exemptions are accepted
- CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal devices are not permitted
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
