Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU/CCU Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment requiring open-heart recovery experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• CCU/CVICU setting caring for post cardiac surgery and fresh open-heart recovery patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs
• Epic EMR experience required
• Preferred device experience includes Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS also required
• Open-heart surgery recovery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in ventilator management, arterial line management, and interpretation of ABGs preferred

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill cardiac and post-surgical patients including fresh open-heart recovery cases
• Complete facility orientation modules, typically 8-12 hours, signed off by facility managers
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment; no RTO approved around holidays
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as non-local travelers
• Travel pairs accepted
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
