Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 1+ years of experience including pediatric/NICU exposure for a night shift position at a major teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department of a women and children's hospital
- Treats critical care and general care patients across adult and pediatric populations
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a, weekdays with some weekend requirements
- Floating within scope required, including to sister facilities as needed
- Uses Cerner charting system
- No on-call requirement
- Open to accommodating block schedules, though not guaranteed
Requirements
- RRT or CRT required, license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Pediatric and/or NICU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NALS certifications required
- Certifications must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
- Pending state license accepted

- Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, part of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
- 838 staffed beds
- Scrubs provided
- Free parking for travelers
- First-time travelers accepted
- RTO requests must be submitted two weeks prior to the next schedule and approved by manager
- Accepts candidates within a 100-mile radius; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
- Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler
- Current employees of the health system (including affiliated hospitals) are not eligible for travel contracts within the system
