Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA licensure, AWHONN Advanced certification, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit including OR, antepartum, and float coverage to postpartum
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7 nights per week from 7pm to 7:30am
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP
- Preferred certifications and skills as applicable to specialty
- Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
- Minimum one year of acute care experience required
- Minimum one year full-time equivalent experience in specialty area within the past two years
- Two supervisor references required
- Skills required: Labor and Delivery management, circulating for C-section, fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, use of external fetal monitoring
- Preferred additional skills: triage, scrub, phlebotomy
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care across Labor & Delivery, OR, antepartum, and postpartum float assignments
- Prior travel nursing experience required with limited exceptions
- Must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler if previously employed at the facility
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred
