Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift rehabilitation hospital position with floating required and a minimum of 1 year of recent experience.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit within a rehabilitation hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Patient ratios of 1:6-8
- Weekend work required, minimum every other weekend
- Floating between units required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Scrubs may be any color
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills
- Peripheral line care and management experience
- Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
- Non-invasive airway management experience
- Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a teaching hospital environment
- May be expected to float between sister facilities within the region
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Former employees of this facility may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted, though at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
