Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ER Holding position requiring prior travel experience and compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the ER Holding unit supporting ED boarders awaiting inpatient beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Potential to float between campuses as well as to Observation, MS/Tele, and MS units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of ER experience required
• Experience with pre/post cardiac cath and accessing/managing ports required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Natural fingernails required for direct patient care, less than 1/4 inch in length, polish acceptable

Additional Information

• Support ED boarders across the system and float to observation units when census allows
• Navy blue scrubs required with no agency or brand logos permitted
• COVID vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only, flu vaccination also required
• No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Returning staff must be away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers completing a prior assignment must take a 90-day system break before returning
• Candidates cannot have applied for or be in process for a permanent role with the health system within the past 6 months
• Strict no-call policy in place
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• Holiday coverage expected with limited RTO flexibility
• First-time travelers not permitted for this assignment
