Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a system-wide float pool position requiring CA licensure, travel experience, and flexibility to float across multiple hospitals.
Details
- Telemetry unit position within a multi-hospital health system float pool
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Required to float to like units or lower acuity units (excluding the ED) across five hospitals as needed
- Work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle
- At least one holiday shift required, including the holiday weekend
- Uses EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner EMR systems
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required at time of consideration, no exceptions
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required, with no pending certifications accepted
- Minimum 1 year of total travel experience required, with 6+ months of continuous travel experience immediately preceding consideration
- 1.5 years of continuous specialty experience required, with no breaks in unit experience unless floating or demonstrating equivalent skillset and ratios
- EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner EMR experience required within the last 6 months
- One supervisory-level professional reference required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry-level nursing care while floating across multiple hospital locations as needed
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Returning travelers and former permanent staff eligible after a 1-year waiting period
- Maximum requested time off (RTO) is 7 days, with no additional requests accepted after submission
- Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, except for LVN/LPN candidates
- Candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9+ months are considered local and are not eligible
