Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 3 years of experience and ACLS certification.
Details
- Work within the Radiology Nursing department supporting X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine services
- Care for adult patients from the ED, ICU, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
- Responsibilities include prep/recovery, intraprocedural moderate sedation, cardiac stress testing in Nuclear Medicine and MRI, cardiac scanning in CT, and port access
- Uses Epic EMR, Philips iSite PACS, and Philips monitoring system
- Shift options include 8-hour day shifts (0600-1700, varying) or 0600-1930/1930-0600 rotations depending on requisition
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Call requirements vary by requisition and are discussed during the final manager interview, with call back time of 30-60 minutes and no sleep room available
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required, with at least 12 months of core experience in the specialty area within the last year
- Cardiac and/or critical care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- Facility is a 373-bed hospital with 344 acute and 29 inpatient rehab beds, including 30 ED beds, 46 ICU beds, 40 PCU beds, 70 observation beds, and 14 OR suites
- No trauma designation; facility is TJC Stroke accredited
- Average inpatient census is approximately 400
- Support staff includes Guest Services and Transport
- Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) is 1 day, followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- RTO requires manager approval
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking available in surface lots and parking decks
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Returning travelers must be separated from any Advocate Health Southeast facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
