Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a critical access hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and comfort working independently as the sole RT on shift.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Serves patients of all ages
• Uses Bipap/Cpap, ventilators, and Vapotherm equipment
• Meditech EHR system
• Shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• On-call requirements as needed
• Floating requirements as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in ER and critical care settings required
• Ability to work independently as the only RT on shift
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• License required if applicable
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Works independently in a critical access hospital setting, often as the sole RT on shift
• Professional demeanor expected
• Scrub color is flexible, but casual wear is not acceptable
• Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
