Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes typical medical and surgical adult patients, including joint replacement, general abdominal surgery, and spinal surgery cases
- Adults only, no pediatric patients
- 13-week assignment on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full time schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess and address patient and family learning needs, providing education and identifying resources
- Delegate and make appropriate care assignments to other providers as needed
- Candidates must be separated from any CHRISTUS Health System facility for at least 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
