Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) certification and SCRQSA licensure for a 7-week night shift assignment.
Details
- Radiology department setting
- 7-week assignment
- Schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 4x10 hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Includes call and holiday coverage
- Uses Cerner EMR for charting
- May float to a sister hospital nearby
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program preferred
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification required
- SCRQSA Radiographer Certification required
- BLS through the American Heart Association required
- Active SC or compact license required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to perform and teach radiologic exams to produce diagnostic images
- Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform radiologic procedures under medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
- Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate care
- Assist in clinical education and supervision of student Radiologic Technologists
- Instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist in obtaining informed consent
- Communicate with radiologists regarding procedures and maintain accurate documentation in the computer system
- Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and established DHEC/TJC guidelines
- Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
