Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level II Neonatal ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and 2+ years of NICU experience.
Details
- Work in a Level II NICU within the OB department on the 3rd floor
- Unit includes 4 labor rooms, 9 postpartum beds, and 4 NICU beds
- Patient population includes laboring/postpartum mothers and newborns
- NICU patient ratio of 3:1
- Common diagnoses include respiratory distress and hypoglycemia
- Uses NICU equipment such as CPAP, ventilators, UVC, and IV therapy
- Charting performed in Meditech and OB Tracevue
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend or as needed
- Floating required to Postpartum/Well Baby Nursery
- No call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at a Level II facility or higher
- Well newborn nursery experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum mothers and their newborns in the NICU
- Collaborate closely with a care team under the direction of the OB Department Director
- Looking for a nurse who thrives in a team environment and prioritizes patient safety and care
- Dress code requires solid-colored scrubs with no prints
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Must not be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
