Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA license, BSN, and 2+ years of ED experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital Emergency Department
- Pediatric and adult patient population, including trauma cases
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Availability required for 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
- BSN required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Comfortable caring for pediatric patients
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, and ventilator/respiratory care
- Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and triage
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients, including trauma and multisystem organ dysfunction cases
- Navy blue scrubs provided
- RTO must be submitted with initial profile and cannot be added later
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Former UC employees or contractors must complete required separation period and clearance before reapplying
- Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
