Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position at a busy Level 1 Trauma academic medical center requiring strong critical care experience and recent ECMO experience.
Details
- Acute care setting in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVCC) unit
- Patient population includes open heart surgery, transplant, and AAA cases
- 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) on an every-other-weekend (EOW) schedule
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Floating required
- No self-scheduling; flexibility with scheduling required
- Level 1 Trauma, busy/large academic medical center setting
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, though 3+ years preferred
- Strong critical care experience in a major academic medical center required
- Recent ECMO experience required
- CRRT experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume hospital setting strongly preferred
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including open heart surgery, transplant, and AAA cases
- Work within a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center environment
- Candidates must be flexible with scheduling as self-scheduling is not permitted
- Candidates previously employed directly (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible
- Candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
