Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of PT experience and LTC or Rehab background.
Details
- Long Term Acute Care setting within a Physical Therapy unit
- 13-week assignment with day shift, 8-hour shifts
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- New grads considered if they completed a Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation)
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- Active MA state PT license required
- License required if applicable
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and wound care as part of rehabilitation
- Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and healthcare team members
- Document all treatment minutes and clinical information according to regulatory and company requirements
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed
- Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
- Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards
- No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
